Volunteer
BuzzCopper is a philanthropic venture. Nobody is making a profit from this. We have a growing number of volunteers who have agreed to pool their skills to make this work. We hope to produce and distribute BuzzCopper v2 devices using our volunteer maker network.
If you are competent at soldering and confident with technology generally you might like to become a Tier 1 maker. This will involve soldering together a few electronic parts and 'flashing' the latest firmware into the processor using a PC or Mac.
Tier 1 makers then pass collections of BuzzCopper electronics on to Tier 2 makers.
If you have a 3D printer you could become a Tier 2 maker. This will involve printing out the plastic parts for BuzzCopper v2s and assembling with the electronic parts. You will also need to find 2 litre cola bottles in which the components are housed. We hope we might persuade some supermarkets to provide bottles too.
Tier 2 makers then pass completed devices on as directed by Asian Hornet Alert.
If you have skills in C++ and know about ESP32 micro-controllers you could help with the device firmware, (managed on GitHub).
If you have skills in C#, HTML, CSS, Google Cloud, JSON you could help with the BuzzRender Cloud platform and this website.
